A DANGER THAT WE SOMETIME IGNORE!

The world has largely ignored the words of the apostle Paul in 1 Thes. 5:21, “Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.” Especially is this true with the great majority of our public educators. After Charles Darwin published his book “Origin of the Species” in 1859, setting forth the theory of evolution, postulating that all life evolved from a single cell, it became popular, and “educated” to espouse this belief. Despite many ridiculous hypotheses such as each organism developing organs that it needed in order to develop further, and doing this with an undeveloped brain, the impossible facets of evolution are glossed over, and the theory is taught today as though no one should question it. The educators have learned that the best way to accomplish their purpose is to laugh at those who believe in God and creation. Evolution is an unproved scientific theory, and it is not even very scientific. Scientists set forth as their claim that nothing should be accepted as truth unless it can be proven scientifically; yet, they hold to evolution despite the fact that it has not and cannot be proven scientifically.

What should we do about it? The best advice I can give to any parent is to study the Bible, devote your life to Christ, and instill in your children faith in God and His word. This is essential because God is being ignored in our school systems, and these false theories are being taught subtly in text books; in children’s encyclopedias, and on television, and they are making an effort to reach our children with these ideas at an earlier and earlier age. Having more Christian teachers would be helpful also. A good Christian teacher can offset the effects of a textbook, but unfortunately, Christian teachers, especially in the sciences, are in the minority.

If your children are properly taught at home, both by word and example, they will reject atheistic teaching in school, but if you do not train them and train them well, you can just about count on losing them. Your faithful example before them is the best teaching that you con do. It will not be very effective to tell them that there is a God, a heaven and a hell, if you do not show them by your life that you really believe it! Study your Bible; keep yourself pure, and attend the services faithfully. If you love your children, give them this much of a chance to reach heaven.
